Duringassistedstartingoperations(withanexternalbattery),donotleanoverthebatteries.Weargoggles.

Onlyconnectbatteries(batteryassemblies)withthesamevoltage.
•
Onlyusetestedjumpercableswithinsulatedterminalclipsandanadequateleaddiameter.
•
Ensurethatthebodiesofthesupplyingandreceivingmachinesarenotincontact.Otherwiseacurrentowmight
resultfromconnectingthepositivepoles.Riskofshort-circuiting.
•
Whenperformingassistedstarting,neverusepowersuppliescreatinganovervoltage,forexample,twoorthree
batteriesinseriesordevicesgeneratingvoltagesabove12V.
•
Neveruseweldinggeneratorsorweldingtransformersaspowersources.
•
Positionjumpercablesinsuchawaythattheycannotbecaughtbyrotatingenginecomponents.
