Cleaning the Cooling System
Drain, flush, and replace the engine
coolant every 2000 hours of operation
or each year, whichever occurs first.
Clean the system and replace the
coolant if the coolant becomes dirty or
has the color of rust.
DO NOT remove the deaeration tank
cap if the coolant is hot.
1. Open the cooling system drain
valve and remove the deaeration
tank cap. The drain valve is located
at the lower left steel tube between
the engine and the radiator.
2. After all coolant is removed. Close
the drain valve.
3. Add cleaning solution to the cooling
system and fill the cooling system
with clean water. Follow the
directions included with the
cleaning solution.
4. After you drain the cleaning
solution flush with clean water and
drain the water.
5. Replace the coolant filter with an
A77659 coolant filter.
6. Put a 50% mixture of Ethylene
Glycol and water in the deaeration
tank. See Coolant Mixture in this
manual.
7. Start the engine and run at idle
speed until the engine is at
operating temperature. Check the
instrument cluster monitor, if the
monitor illuminates. Add coolant as
required.
8. Install the deaeration tank cap, if
removed.
Cleaning the Screens and Coolers
1. Clean the screens and coolers as
necessary.
2. Use a pressure washer to clean the
screens from the radiator rear.
IMPORTANT: Be careful not to bend or
damage the fins during cleaning. DO
NOT exceed 6890kPa (1000 PSI)
nozzle pressure when cleaning.

3. Open the left and right hand side
doors to clean the front side of the
radiator, back/front side of the
hydraulic/transmission oil cooler,
back/front side of the air to air
cooler and back/front side of the
fuel cooler.

NOTE: After cleaning the coolers wash
all trash from the top of the fuel tank.
