Hydraulic Oil Level
BD02B076
1. SIGHT GAUGE
2. FILLER CAP
Check the oil level of the hydraulic
reservoir every 50 hours of
operation.
To check the oil level in the hydraulic
reservoir do the following:
1. Park the machine on a level
surface and lower the loader
bucket to the ground. Apply the
parking brake.
2. Stop the engine.
3. Check the oil level in the sight
gauge. If the oil is cold, the level is
correct when you see oil in the
lower 1/4 of the sight gauge. If the
oil is at operating temperature,
50°C (120°F), the oil level must be
in the upper 1/4 of the sight gauge.
DO NOT over fill. See Hydraulic
System in this manual for the
correct oil.
To add oil to the hydraulic reservoir do
the following:
1. Clean the area around the filler
cap.
2. Slowly loosen the filler cap on the
hydraulic reservoir. This will
release the air pressure in the
hydraulic reservoir. Remove the
filler cap from the hydraulic
reservoir.
3. After oil has been added to the
hydraulic reservoir, inspect the seal
on the filler cap. Replace the seal
as required.
4. Install the filler cap and hand
tighten.
Hydraulic Filters
Replace the two hydraulic filters every
1000 hours of operation or if the
hydraulic oil filter LAMP illuminates.
Hydraulic Filter Test
To check the condition of the hydraulic
filters do the following.
1. Start the engine. If the hydraulic oil
is not at operating temperature or
approximately 50°C (120°F) do the
following.
A. Hold the loader control lever in
the ROLLBACK position until the
loader bucket is against the
stops, continue to hold the
control lever in the ROLLBACK
position for 15 seconds.
B. After 15 seconds, move the
control lever to the HOLD
position.
C. Repeat steps a and b until the
side of the hydraulic reservoir
feels very warm.
