2. Increase the engine speed to full
throttle. If the indicator lamp for the
hydraulic oil filters illuminates,
replace both filters.

Hydraulic Filter Replacement
IMPORTANT: Always replace both
hydraulic filters at the same time.
1. Park the machine on a level
surface. Lower the loader bucket to
the ground and stop the engine.
Apply the parking brake.
2. Slowly loosen the filler cap on the
hydraulic reservoir. This will
release the air pressure in the
hydraulic reservoir.
3. Remove the access cover.
4. Use a strap wrench to remove the
old filters. Turn the filters
counterclockwise to remove.

5. Lubricate the gasket on each new
filter with MS-1209, Hy-Tran Ultra
®
fluid. Turn the filter clockwise until
the filter contacts the head of the
filter assembly. Continue to tighten
the filter 1/2 to 3/4 turn by hand.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT use a filter
wrench to tighten the hydraulic filters.
6. Tighten the filler cap.
7. Start and run the engine at
approximately 1000 rpm. Check for
oil leaks around each filter.
8. Stop the engine and check the
hydraulic oil level. Add oil as
required. See Hydraulic System in
this manual for correct
specifications.
9. Install the access cover.

WARNING: Replace all covers or guards after servicing or cleaning the
machine. NEVER operate the machine with covers or guards removed.
