Bleeding the Brake
System
1. Park the machine on a level
surface. Block the wheels.
Completely raise the loader frame,
connect acceptable lifting
equipment to the loader arms that
will hold the loader arms in place.
Apply the parking brake. Stop the
engine. Put a DO NOT OPERATE
tag on the steering wheel.
2. Loosen the bleed screw on the
accumulator charge valve a small
amount. If possible attach a hose
to the bleed screw to help prevent
oil spillage.

3. Start and run the engine at idle.
NOTE: Oil will begin to flow from the
bleed screw when engine is started.
4. When there are no air bubbles in
the oil that is flowing from the bleed
screw, close the bleed screw.
5. Continue to run the engine at idle
until the low brake pressure lamp is
no longer illuminated and both
accumulators are fully charged.
6. Stop the engine.
7. Do procedure A or B to fully
discharge the two accumulator
pistons.
A. Push down and then release the
brake pedal 15 to 20 times until
there is no hydraulic pressure in
the brake system.
B. See Step 9 of this procedure for
location of the bleed screw on
the axle. Loosen the bleed
screw on the front axle, push
down on the brake pedal until
there is no forced flow from the
open bleed screw. Tighten the
bleed screw.
8. Start and run the engine at idle.
Apply the parking brake.
