Annex D Trigger
Inputs/Outputs
TRIGGER INPUTS/OUTPUTS
The Chronos 1.4 & Chronos 2.1HD have two trigger input/outputs, and one isolated
trigger input. Trigger IO is used by the cameras to communicate to other equipment
such as lights or external triggers. For example, if you have several cameras set up, you
can use a trigger to start or stop all of them at once.
TRIGGER IO 1 AND 2
These non-isolated triggers are referenced to the camera's power and chassis
ground and can provide either input functionality with adjustable threshold (0-
6.6V), or 5V TTL level output.
They are protected against damage when connected to voltages of 30V
DC/AC RMS and +/- 50V peak.
The 20mA output drive is suitable to directly drive terminated coaxial cable,
and will produce 1V into 50Ω, with rise and fall times of (typically) 10ns or
faster. Unterminated operation will result in a much slower fall time.
