BLACK PRINT SPEED

Step speed between one line and the next during
Monochromatic printing.
Defines the printing speed of the monochromatic levels
and must be set in accordance with the a quality/
performance level compromise. A low value ensures
higher printing precision while a higher value creates
higher speed but also lower precision as the colour is
offset.
BLACKTOURQUE

The Ribbon Tension during Black printing.
Must be set so that the ribbon is recovered continuously
and is always in tension but without forcing the card. It
must be possible to stop the ribbon pull easily by hand.
Running Card Test 41, the black rectangle must have
homogeneous remission. If there are any lines, the
ribbon is probably too tight.
OVERLAY TORQUE

The Ribbon Tension during Overlay printing.
Must be set so that the ribbon is recovered continuously
and is always in tension but without forcing the card. It
must be possible to stop the ribbon pull easily by hand.
Running Card Tests 45, 46, 47 or 48, there must be a
uniform coated Overlay along all of the card without
lines.
COLOUR TORQUE

The Ribbon Tension during flat colour printing.
Must be set so that the ribbon is recovered continuously
and is always in tension but without forcing the card. It
must be possible to stop the ribbon pull easily by hand.
Running Card Tests 45, 46, 47 or 48, there must be a
uniform coated colour along all of the card without lines.
