SPA Installation and Removal
Warning During this procedure, wear grounding wrist straps to avoid ESD damage to the card. Do not directly
touch the backplane with your hand or any metal tool, or you could shock yourself. Statement 94
SPAs can be inserted or removed independently from the SIP. Removal of a SIP with installed SPAs is
also supported.

illustrates how to install and remove a SPA in the SCE8000-SIP. Table 9-2 lists the
components.
