Theinstallationsiteofthesteamhumidierdependslargelyonthelocationofthesteamdistributor
(seechapter5.3).Toensure proper functioningofthesteamhumidierandtoobtain an optimal
efciency,thefollowingpointsmustbeconsideredandobservedwhenchoosingthelocationfor
thesteamhumidier:
– Installthesteamhumidiersothatthelength of the steamhoseiskeptasshortaspossible
(max. 4 m)andthattheminimum bend radius (R= 300 mm) and up-slope (20 %) or down-
slope (5 %)ofthesteamhoseisobserved(seechapter5.3.5).
– ThesteamhumidiersCondairCP3aredesignedforwall-mounting.Makesurethattheconstruc-
tion(wall,pillar,oor-mountedconsole,etc.)towhichthehumidiersaretobemounted,offers
a sufcientlyhighload-bearingcapacity(takenoticeoftheweightinformationfoundinthe
dimensionsandweightstableabove),andissuitablefortheinstallation.
CAUTION!
Donotmountthesteamhumidierdirectlytotheventilationduct(insufcientstability).
– ThebackpaneloftheCondairCP3isretainingheatduringoperation(max.surfacetemperature
ofthemetalhousingapprox.60-70°C).Makesure,therefore,thattheconstruction(wall,pillar,
etc.)towhichtheunitsaretobemounted,doesnotconsistofheat-sensitivematerial.
– Installthesteamhumidierinsuchamannerthatitisfreely accessiblewithsufcientspace
availableformaintenancepurposes(refertotheaboveillustrationforminimumdistances).
– TheCondairCP3isprotectedaccordingtoIP20.Makesuretheunitsareinstalledinadrip-proof
location and the admissible ambient conditions are complied with.
– ThesteamhumidierCondairCP3mayonlybeinstalledinroomswithaoordrain.
CAUTION!
Ifforsome reason the CondairCP3 must be installedina location without oordrain,it is
mandatorytoprovidealeakagemonitoringdevicetosafelyinterruptthewatersupplyincase
ofleakage.
– WhenxingtheCondairCP3useonlythexingmaterialssuppliedwiththeunit.Ifxingwith
thematerialssuppliedisnotpossibleinyourparticularcase,selectamethodofxingthatisof
similar stability.
– The Condair CP3 is designed for installation and operation within buildings (admissible tem-
peraturerangeseechapter10.1).ForoutdooroperationtheCondairCP3mustbeplacedina
weatherprotectivehousing.Ifambienttemperaturesnearorbelowthefreezingpointhavetobe
expected,theprotectivehousingmustequippedwithathermostatcontrolledheatingofsufcient
capacity. The water supply pipe must be equipped with a trace-heating and must be insulated
up to the protective housing. Furthermore the special notes regarding the operation at ambient
temperatures≤0°Cmustbeobserved(seechapter6.3.2).
