Spider DSA User’s Manual

When input signal is triggered according to trigger condition
In this scenario, the recording starts when it is triggered. User needs to setup a
trigger on the time domain signal. Multiple recording can be done under the
trigger condition because the trigger event can occur multiple times in each run.
In the case of multiple recording, when the first recording is stopped, the user
can choose to end up here or repeat the recording for up to 100 times. During the
repeat process, when the record duration is finished, the system will wait for
another trigger event to start the next recording. When the test is stopped by
system event such as digital input, exceeding limit, and user’s action. The
repeated recording action will not be effective any more.
When digital input is received from Pin #
The recording starts when the system detects a digital input from the pin
specified by user. This feature increases the interactivity with other hardware
platforms. It means that the external hardware can send a command to the
Spider to start recording data.
When limit exceeded
The limit here can be either the limit on spectrum signals or the limit on block
signals. Before this option is checked, user needs to properly configure the limit.
When time status exceeds the limit
The limit here is particularly the limit on the time stream. There are four
conditions which can be multi-checked to start the recording.
o Below low alarm
o Below low abort
o Exceeds high alarm
o Exceeds high abort
Conditions of stop recording are illustrated below.
