is to prevent the possibility a loop forming in the event that two or more R-APS signal fail
messages are sent simultaneously from different ends of the ring.
WTR Time (5-12)
Tick the check box and enter the wait-to-restore (WTR) time of the R-APS function. The WTR
time defines the amount of time mandated to pass after conditions clear. After the WTR time
expires, the RPL returns to idle state (blocking). This is used to prevent too frequent operation
of ERPS due to an intermittent signal failure defect.
Click Apply to implement changes made.
ERPS Sub-Ring Settings
To view and modify ERPS Sub-Ring settings, click the corresponding Sub-Ring Information link on the table at the
bottom of the ERPS Settings window:

The following parameters may be configured:
Parameter Description
Sub-Ring R-APS
VLAN (1-4094)
Enter a Sub-Ring R-APS VLAN between 1 and 4094.
State Tick the check box and select the desired State, Add or Delete.
TC Propagation
State
Tick the check box and select the desired Topology Change (TC) Propagation State for the
sub-ring, Disabled or Enabled. The default value is Disabled.
Click Apply to implement changes made.
