Warning Temperature Settings
The following window is used to set trap and log states for warnings about system temperature, and to set the high
and low temperature thresholds that trigger the trap and log.
To view this window, click System Configuration > Warning Temperature Settings, as shown below:

The fields that can be configured are described below:
Parameter Description
Traps State Choose the state of traps sent for system temperature, choose Enabled to enable traps or
choose Disabled to disable traps. Traps will be sent if the high or low threshold (set below) is
exceeded.
Log State Choose the state of logging for system temperature, choose Enabled to enable log or choose
Disabled to disable logs. Logs will be recorded if the high or low threshold (set below) is
exceeded.
High Threshold
(-500 ~ 500)
Set the temperature upper threshold in degrees Celsius. If system temperature exceeds the
threshold traps will be sent and the event will be logged if these options are enabled.
Low Threshold
(-500 ~ 500)
Set the temperature lower threshold in degrees Celsius. If system temperature drops below
the threshold traps will be sent and the event will be logged if these options are enabled.
Click Apply to implement changes made.
System Log Configuration
This section contains information for configuring various attributes and properties for System Log Configurations,
including System Log Settings and System Log Host.
System Log Settings
This window allows the user to enable or disable the System Log and specify the System Log Save Mode Settings.
To view this window, click System Configuration > System Log Configuration > System Log Settings, as shown
below:
NOTE: If a user configures the serial port’s baud rate, the baud rate will take effect and save
immediately. Baud rate settings will not change even if the user resets or reboots the Switch.
The Baud rate will only change when the user configures it again. The serial port’s baud rate
setting is not stored in the Switch’s configuration file. Resetting the Switch will not restore the
baud rate to the default setting.
