Password
Enter the password for the RADIUS server which is to be used for packets being sent
requesting authentication. The default password is “default”.
RADIUS Authorization Toggle Enabled and Disabled. The user can enable or disable this option to enable
RADIUS Authorization or not. This function only takes effect when authentication is
done by RADIUS.
Local Authorization Toggle Enabled and Disabled. The user can enable or disable this option to enable
Local Authorization or not. This function only takes effect when authentication is done
by local database.
Max User (1-1000) Set the maximum number of users, between 1 and a 1000. Alternatively, tick the No
Limit check box.
Guest VLAN Settings
VLAN Name/
VID (1-4094)
Click the radio button to configure the Guest VLAN Name or Guest VLAN ID. Enter
the name of the previously configured Guest VLAN being used for this function.
Member Ports (e.g.: 1, 5-9)
Enter the list of ports to be member of the Guest VLAN.
Port Settings
From Port /To Port
Enter the Port range.
State
Use the pull-down menu to enable or disable the MAC-based Access Control function
on individual ports.
Mode Select Port-based or Host-based mode.
Aging Time (1-1440)
The time period during which an authenticated host will be kept in an authenticated
state. When the aging time is timed out, the host will be moved back to an
unauthenticated state. The range is between 1 and 1440 minutes. The default is
1440. Alternatively, tick the Infinite check box.
Block Time (1-300)
If a host fails to pass authentication, the next authentication will not start within the
block time unless the user clears the entry state manually. The default is 300
seconds. Alternatively, tick the Infinite check box.
Max User (1-1000) Set the maximum number of users, between 1 and a 1000. The default is 128.
Alternatively, tick the No Limit check box.
Click Apply to implement changes.
MAC-based Access Control Local Settings
The following window is used to set a list of MAC addresses, along with their corresponding target VLAN, which will be
authenticated for the Switch. Once a queried MAC address is matched in this table, it will be placed in the VLAN
associated with it here. The switch administrator may enter up to 128 MAC addresses to be authenticated using the
local method configured here.
To view this window, click Security > MAC-based Access Control > MAC-based Access Control Local Settings
as shown below:
