5.3.4 RISE AND FALL GLUCOSE RATE ALERTS
You can activate these Alerts (see Chapter 2, Section 2.3, “Setting
your Alerts”), to have the Receiver tell you if your glucose levels
are rising or falling fast.
You can choose to set one of the two
Receiver Rise Rates (how fast you
are going up) or none. You can be notied if your glucose level
is rising 2 or more mg/dL each minute, or 3 or more mg/dL each
minute.
You can choose to set one of the two Receiver Fall Rates (how fast you are going down) or none.
You can choose to be notied if your glucose level is falling 2 or more mg/dL each minute, or 3 or
more mg/dL each minute.
If your glucose level rises or falls at the Alert setting you chose, it will display an Alert to you.
You can set the Alert to vibrate or beep (see Chapter 2, Section 2.3, “Setting your Alerts”). Two
examples are shown below:
If you set your Fall Rate to 2 mg/dL per minute
and your glucose levels fall at this level or faster,
the Single Arrow Screen will appear and alert
according to your settings.
If you set your Rise Rate to 3 mg/dL per minute
and your glucose levels rise at this level or faster,
the Double Arrow Screen will appear and alert
according to your settings.
