CO2 waveforms
The Cockpit also displays an instantaneous CO2
waveform.
A Expiratory or alveolar plateau (level of CO2 in
lungs ceases to increase significantly)
B End-tidal concentration point (end of expiratory
phase, where CO2 is measured)
C Onset of inspiratory phase
D Onset of expiratory phase
E Baseline during inspiration
Troubleshooting
In addition to evaluating the clinical status of a
patient, CO2 waveforms can help troubleshoot
problems with equipment.
