18.12 Measurement results related problems
18.12.1 Fluctuating PLT background values
When the ELite 5 is used under increased workload, running even 300 samples a day
(meaning 5 hours of continuous operation) is possible.
Despite built-in maintenance programs, the system may require intensive cleaning from time
to time. If you find that Blank PLT values are increasing and decreasing unprecedentedly,
please run a “Hard Cleaning” function.
Go to Main Menu, Maintenance. Tap the Hard Cleaning button to initiate the procedure. You
will need a syringe (10ml) to dose cleaning liquid into the analyzer’s measuring chambers.
The process is described below.
18.12.2 Long, smeared population
This image shows that neither the TCU nor the reagents or
the mixing cannot do their jobs.
Possible reason:
Both lyse reagents are interchanged.
