6.3 Relative positioning
The motor c ontroller calculates internally with 65536 inc rements ( 16 bit) per revolution (360°). For
positioning tasks that do not have a whole number (integer) as the result, th e motor controller rounds
up to the next whole number. This can result in deviations when positioning.
Example: Rotary indexing table
4 positions. (90°) 65536:4= 16384 ----> Integer
6 positions. (60°) 65536:6= 10922.666 ----> The c ontroller positions at 10923 ( 60.0018°).
