13 Synchronizing
Due to USPS requirements, postal data must be synchronized daily and uploaded to
the USPS. If no connection occurs within 72 hours, the system locks until a synchro-
nization occurs per USPS regulations. PostBase Fusion automatically uploads data
every evening as long as the system is not fully turned off and the connection (LAN
or Wi-Fi) is available. In addition, you can also perform the synchronization manually
if required. This chapter describes the available menu functions.
• Make sure PostBase Fusion has a network
connection (LAN or
Wi-Fi).
• Open the M
ENU.
• Select S
YNCHRONIZE.
PostBase Fusion offers various functions for
synchronizing the data in the S
YNCHRONIZE
menu. They are displayed and explained in
the table below.
• Select the desired function.
PostBase Fusion displays information about
the status and purpose of the selected func-
tion.
• Start synchronizing the data with Y
ES.
The connection setup, data transfer, as well
as testing and update processes run auto-
matically. You can follow the progress of the
process on the display.
Synchronize – possible functions and their meaning:
S
TATUS Display – Date and time of the last data
synchronization.
S
YNC ALL
(suggested)
Complete data synchronization.
PostBase Fusion performs all synchroniza-
tion operations consecutively. This may take
several minutes.
