If the emergency ventilation is activated, either
during a patient case or when testing the
system, the emergency ventilation APL valve
must be set to minimum before resuming
normal ventilation (AUTO or MAN) or starting
a new patient case.
CAUTIONS:
• The emergency flow is always delivered
via the patient cassette outlet and thus
the patient tubings must always be
connected to patient cassette outlets
when emergency ventilation is used.
• Staff working with the system should
practise regularly using the emergency
ventilation system.
