External control of Shutdown
Background
The output of the power supplies can be
configured to shut down via an external switch.
The ability to externally shut down the power
supply must first be enabled in the power on
configuration settings. The voltage across pins 2
and 12 are internally pulled to +5V ±5% @
500uA with 10kΩ pull-up resistor.

Steps
1. Connect the external switches according to the
connection diagrams above.
2. Set F-95 to in the configuration
settings to 0 (Enable). This will
allow the external control of
shutdown.

3. Press the function key and confirm
the new configuration settings.

4. The switch will now shut down the power
supply when shorted.
