The source device does the following:
3. Sends one copy of packets received on the source port Ethernet 1/0/1 to the tunnel interface
(serving as the monitor port in the local mirroring group created on the source device)
4. Forwards them to the tunnel interface on the destination device through the Generic Routing
Encapsulation (GRE) tunnel.
The destination device does the following:
5. Receives the mirrored packets from the tunnel interface (serving as the source port in the local
mirroring group created on the destination device)
6. Forwards the packets to the monitor port Ethernet 1/0/2 in the local mirroring group created on
the destination device.
7. Forwards the packets to the data monitoring device through Ethernet 1/0/2.

Local port mirroring configuration task list
Configure a local mirroring group and then configure one or more source ports/CPUs and a monitor
port for the local mirroring group.
Complete these tasks to configure local port mirroring:
