3.8 - Vehicle loading
The Maximum Authorised Mass is indicated on the identication plate (see
chapter 2.1). This mass varies according to the vehicle, its equipment and
the accessories added (bicycle rack, ski rack, solar panels, etc.). The addition
of equipment and accessories makes the van heavier and reduces the
transportable payload.
The Maximum Authorised Mass of the vehicle must never be
exceeded.
Be aware that the weight of the luggage and equipment, as well as their
positioning in the vehicle, has a direct inuence on the driving behaviour and
braking.
When loading your vehicle, make sure the loads are positioned with the heaviest
ones on the oor and lighter ones in the upper storage areas. By storing items
in this way, you lower the vehicle's centre of gravity as far as possible, ensuring
safe and pleasant driving.
■ To secure loads inside or outside the vehicle, use straps only.
Never use damaged straps.
Never exceed the maximum securing force for the strap.
3.9 - Bicycle rack
■ To carry bicycles, use only the appropriate bike rack for the vehicle.
3.10 - Storage
