5.1 Logotherm conform sensor positioning
The principal illustration applies for a “single accumulator” or “multiple accumulators parallel”:
In “parallel” the sensors F4 and F5(1-4) can be positioned in one accumulator.
● Retrofitting of existing accumulators: This must be done in the predetermined allocation.
● Check for accessibility of each sensor, in case it needs to be replaced.
● 9.02 Acc. reserve may be set to 0%, if no reserve is needed for solar / heat application / etc.
● If Y2 is used as discharge valve, HR(1) and HR(2) must be used. The boiler return is then
controlled by the load valve Y2, i.e., if the boiler is fired, the heater return in HR(1) is piped
into the accumulator (rapid heating of the system). In operation mode “Boiler OFF” the
heater return is fed into the accumulator in HR(2) (high use of load capacity = high refuel
amount → increased heater intervals → more comfort).
Venting
HF: Heater flow
BF: Boiler flow
HR(1): Upper heater return – for a fast heating of the system and a reduced
accumulator mixing.
BR(2): Boiler return 2 – when using load valve Y2
HR(2): Lower Heater return (external hygiene WW preparation)
BR(1): Boiler return 1
