14 Tips for the electrical connection
Please note:
- The electrical connection has to be carried out by an electrical technician.
- The regulations of the electrical engineering as well as the local regulations need to be
respected.
- Before actions are carried out in the electrical system, the plug board must be separated
from the power supply.
- Be careful not to touch any hot or movable parts when laying the electrical cables.
- Use only adaptable cables with cable end sleeves and suitable pressing tool; soldering the
litz wire instead of the using the cable end sleeves is not permitted.
- Follow the supplied connection plans.
- Follow the recommended cable cross-section.
15 Installation
1. Assembling the plug board in the from the boiler manufacturer designated position (if not
already preassembled).
Use the provided assembly material; screws with chopper disc – protective conductor
function.
2. The prefabricated cable harness has to clip at the plug board.
3. Wire the cable harness to the position of the controller and connect the plugs with
the controller.
Make sure that the plugs are fully engaged on the controller and on the plug board.
4. Mount the controller with the provided screws.
5. Mount the protective conductor(s) on the boiler casing.
Make sure that the connection is produced electric-technically and mechanically correctly.
6. Check the correct protective conductor connection of the boiler flow/return (heater flow/
return) with the potential equalisation strip.
7. Use the electric diagram “boiler connection plan” and establish it.
Pay attention to the correct positioning of the return and boiler sensor, and that they are
protected against unintentional pulling out.
The sensor for the electronic STB is integrated in the boiler sensor – security function.
8. Use the electric plan “connection plan heating system **. **” and establish them.
9. Check all the connections for correct electrical and mechanical function.
10. Check the necessary water level (pressure) of the system.
11. If the necessary water level (pressure) exists, establish a network connection. The controller
starts and waits for the necessary settings. The necessary settings are described in the
“Introduction" chapter.
If the commissioning is carried out at a later point of time, disconnect from the power
supply again.
12. Before the electro-technical operation commissioning, aggregate test and O

calibration
need to be carried out.
