Note 26.21: Overtemperature
LambdaControl 1
Note 26.21
Overtemperature
DO NOT OPEN
Cause: Boiler temperature higher than 90°C (flue gas fan OFF)
Display 4 amber: illuminates
Information text: Check amount of fuel
Emergency program: Not required
Reset: Automatically once temperature is below 89°C
Error may occur in the following operating status: In “Boiler ON”. This error message is displayed when the boiler temperature
exceeds 89°C. It could be a deviation of short duration caused by high boiler output (fuel slide or doors were kept open for too
long), or of a short-term air inclusion in the system. If the boiler temperature remains above 90°C for longer than 30 minutes, the
Note 26.32: System overload is displayed.
Error detection: Boiler temperature ≥ 90°C.
Rectification: No actions required.
Flush chimney after overtemperature:
If the overtemperature continues for less than 10 minutes, normal operation continues.
If the time of overtemperature exceeds 10 minutes:
1. Close V1-primary air flap for 30 seconds to 0%;
2. Open V2-secondary air flap for 30 seconds to 100%, then normal operation restarts.
Controller function: Flue gas fan OFF - V1-operation min. V2 ≥ scavenging air.
Note: Fouling of boiler and chimney is possible, increased fuel consumption.
Error 26.22: Flue gas sensor
LambdaControl 1
Error 26.22
Flue gas sensor
Cause: Wrong indicated values
Display 4 amber: illuminates
Information text: Limited operation
Emergency program: YES
Reset: Automatically after error correction
Error detection: Controller measures a temperature of >500°C (interruption) or ≤-20°C (short circuit) at sensor input ST2 (KL1-2).
Rectification: Call service technician possible causes:
1. Test are plug ST2 and the 15-pin plug properly connected with the controller and is the sensor connected correctly? Is
that the case, continue with test 2.
2. Test flue gas temperature sensor: Remove plug ST2. Check for a resistance of 108Ω at plug ST2 (KL1 2) at 20°C and a
resistance of 138. at 100°C. Is that the case, continue with test 3.
3. Test wiring harness: Remove the 15-pin plug from the controller. Check for a resistance of < between the 15-pin plug
(KL6) and plug ST2 (KL2); check for a resistance of <1Ω between the 15-pin plug (KL7) and plug ST2 (KL1). Is that not the case,
the system has a wiring error or the controller is defective.
Experience shows that the controller is usually only defective, if faulty wiring or spurious actions damaged the applicable
input/output.
Controller function: Limited operation with auxiliary air volume V1 possible, the secondary air flap works per O
2
-set value. The
boiler is deactivated with the function O
2
deactivation independent from the setting 5.14 Switch-off with “O
2
” or “TAG”.
Note: Fouling of boiler and chimney is possible. If the O
2
sensor is defective at the same time, the controller switches the boiler
OFF automatically after 24 hours. Or it can be done manually (press twice).
