Boiler sensor

Cause: Wrong indicated values
Display 3 red: illuminates
Information text: Call service technician
Emergency program: NO
Reset: Automatically after error correction
Error detection: Controller measures a temperature of >150°C (interruption) or < -50°C (short circuit) at sensor
input ST3 (KL3–4).
Rectification: Call service technician – possible causes:
1. Test – are plug ST3 and the 15-pin plug properly connected with the controller and is the sensor connected
correctly? Is that the case, continue with test 2.
2. Test – combined boiler and STB temperature sensor: Remove plug ST3, check for a resistance of 2155.9Ω at plug ST3
(KL3 – 4) at 20°C and a resistance of 2770.1Ω at 100°C. Is that the case, continue with test 3.
3. Test – wiring harness: Remove the 15-pin plug from the controller, check for a resistance of <1Ω between the 15-pin plug
(KL10) and plug ST3 (KL4); check for a resistance for <1Ω between the 15-pin plug (KL15) and plug ST3 (KL3). Is that not the
case, the system has a wiring error or the controller is defective.
Experience shows that the controller is usually only defective, if faulty wiring or spurious actions damaged the applicable
input/output.
Controller function: Boiler OFF” / Y1 and Y2 - OPEN / load pump M1 ON / V1 = 0% / V2 ≥ scavenging air.

Cause: Return signal: deviation from required signal is too big
Display 3 red: illuminates
Information text: Air control motor error – reset with refuel button
Emergency program: NO
Reset: Press button ► (refuel)
Error detection: If the signal deviates by more than ±10% from the required signal and there is no position change of >1.5%
within 5 seconds, the error message is displayed.
Rectification: Call service technician – possible causes:
If the motor was manually unlocked and moved, it must be disconnected for at least 2 seconds and before reconnecting
it. The motor runs a calibration program; if no motor error is detected, the error can be reset at the controller.
Controller function: “Boiler OFF” / V1 = 0% / V2 ≥ scavenging air.

Emergency program: NO
Reset: Press button ► (refuel)
Error detection: If the signal deviates by more than ±10% from the required signal and there is no position change of >1.5%
within 5 seconds, the error message is displayed.
Rectification: Call service technician – possible causes:
If the motor was manually unlocked and moved, it must be disconnected for at least 2 seconds and before reconnecting
it. The motor runs a calibration program; if no motor error is detected, the error can be reset at the controller.
Controller function: “Boiler OFF” / Flue gas fan – lag of 10 minutes / V1 = 0% / V2 ≥ scavenging air.
