12 TÜV: Notes about safety functions
12.1 Flush chimney after power failure
In case of a loss of power for more than 60 seconds, in operating status “Boiler ON”, the following instructions need to
be followed before continuing with the combustion:
the flue gas fan is switched on
V1-primary air flap is closed for 30 seconds (0%)
V2-secondary air flap is fully opened for 30 seconds (100%).
Only then regular operation continues.
12.2 Open door(s) in operating status “Boiler ON”
Pressing button (refuel) checks whether opening door(s) is permitted in operating status “Boiler ON”. If opening the
door(s) is not permitted, a note is displayed and the door locks are not released.
If opening the door(s) is permitted, the primary air flap V1 is opened minimally for 30 seconds and the secondary flap
V2 is fully opened (100%). After approx. 40 seconds the regular operation continues, the primary flap V1 is set to the
previous position (position before pressing the button (refuel)).
12.3 Open door(s) in operating status “Boiler OFF”
Pressing button (refuel) in operating status “Boiler OFF”, starts the Safety program to open door(s); the primary air
flap V1 is set to minimum air opening, the secondary air flap is fully opened (100%).
Then the:
primary air flap V1 is opened to 100%
secondary air flap V2 is set to scavenging air until the O
2
sensor is ready, then the
O
2
-control program starts.
The refuel program is executed. Follow the text instructions displayed.
Depending on the setting in 2.18 TAD close door (manufacturer setting) the system audibly and visibly asks to close the
fuel chamber door.
Note: The Safety program for opening the door(s) also runs during Service small/large.
12.4 Pellet/Oil/Gas enabling
The operation is an alternative if the wood boiler is switched on, the pellet/oil/gas boiler is switched off. The
operating status of the wood boiler “Boiler OFF” becomes deposited in a non-volatile memory (marker).
This marker makes sure that the burner is not started (the flue gas temperature can be <100°C after a power failure or
overtemperature).
Only if the wood boiler is in operating status “Boiler OFF and the flue gas temperature is under 100°C, the burner is
enabled.
Switching it off is imperative because if the wood boiler and the pellet/oil/gas boiler are connected to one chimney - a
parallel operation is prevented.
