Chapter 9 Operation with a Computer
Connect by the following procedure.
When the Ethernet connection is established, the LAN indicator appears at the top of the screen, as
shown below.
Connecting the Instrument to a Computer with an Ethernet ("LAN") Cable
When connecting the instrument to an existing network
(connect the instrument to a hub)
Connect to the Ethernet jack on the instrument.
Connect to a 100BASE-TX hub.

Cross-Over Adapter
Use the Hioki 9642 LAN Cable and cross-over adapter (9642 accessory)
1 Connect the Ethernet cable to the
cross-over adapter.
Connect the cross-over adapter to
the Ethernet interface jack on the
instrument.

Connect the other end of the Ethernet ca-
ble to the 100BASE-TX Ethernet jack on
the computer.
