Note the following about using NightShot with a 35× camera block.
• AER+1 mode is optimized for signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio priority.
• AER+3 mode is optimized for color priority.
• AER+2 mode is balanced between S/N ratio and color priorities.
• To see a depiction of the approximate light levels where the camera
switches from day mode (IR cut filter in) to night mode (IR cut filter out) and
then from night mode to day mode, see
• Figure C-7 for when the digital slow shutter function is inactive.
• Figure C-8 for when the digital slow shutter function is active.
• The conditions for the change from day to night mode must be
continuously present for more than 5.0 s for the switch to take place.
• The conditions for the change from night to day mode must be
continuously present for more than 8.0 s for the switch to take place.
The exposure mode is toggled between auto and manual using preset 92 if the
ACUIX is configured for MAXPRO-mode, Diamond protocol, VCL protocol, VCL
UTC protocol, Pelco P protocol, or Pelco D protocol. If the camera is in manual
exposure control mode preset 94 toggles between day and night NightShot
(TDN) modes.
