Configuring Sectors
Sectors are labeled areas that are monitored by the dome. For example, you can
set the dome to display the label "Exit Door" on the monitor screen whenever the
dome is positioned to monitor an exit door.
Programming a Sector
These instructions apply only to domes configured for MAXPRO-mode, VCL,
VCL UTC, Pelco P, or Pelco D protocol.
You can program up to 16 sectors. If you program overlapping sectors, the
sector names will alternate on the screen at 1.5 second intervals.
To program a sector:
1. Select 2 Display Options
2 Sectors ON to enable sector titles to
display on the monitor screen.
2. Select 6 Function Programming
5 Program Sector.
3. Enter a sector number to program, and then press Iris Open.
4. Enter a sector name (up to 24 alphanumeric characters), and then press Iris
Open. The message
Go to lower left corner and press Iris Open
when done
appears.
5. Press Focus Far to switch to PTZ control to locate the lower left corner of
the sector.
6. Press Focus Near to switch to the OSD menu, and then press Iris Open.
The message
Go to upper right corner and press Iris Open when
done
appears.
7. Press Focus Far to switch to PTZ control to locate the upper right corner of
the sector.
8. Press Focus Near to switch to the OSD menu, and then press Iris Open to
save the sector.
9. Program another sector or exit.
