In the user view, run:
ftp [ host [ port-number ] ] [ vpn-instance vpn-instace-name ]
The router is connected to the FTP server.

open host [ port-number ] [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]
The router is connected to the FTP server.
8.4.3 Configuring File Transmission Mode
Do as follows on the router that serves as the client:
Step 1 Run:
ftp [ host [ port-number ] ] [ vpn-instance vpn-instace-name ]
The router is connected to the FTP server, and the FTP client view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
ascii | binary
The data type of the file transfer is configured.
Step 3 Run:
passive
The passive file transfer mode is configured.

8.4.4 Viewing Online Help of the FTP Command
Do as follows on the router that serves as the client:
Step 1 Run:
ftp [ host [ port-number ] ] [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]
The router is connected to the FTP server, and the FTP client view is displayed.

remotehelp [ command ]
The online help of the FTP command is displayed.
