5.3.2 Configuring Authentication Mode
Do as follows on the router that the user logs in to:
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
user-interface [ ui-type ] first-ui-number [ last-ui-number ]
The user interface view is displayed.
Step 3 Run:
authentication-mode { simple | cipher }
The user password authentication mode is configured.

The authentication password is configured.
