Microsoft's Windows Management
Instrumentation API provides a toolkit for
managing devices and applications in a
network of Windows-based computers.
WMI provides both the data about the
status of local or remote computer
systems and the tools for controlling the
data. WMI is included with the Windows
XP and Windows Server 2003 operating
systems.

workspace
The viewing area of the Tivoli Enterprise
Portal window, excluding the Navigator.
Each workspace comprises one or more
views. Every Navigator item has its own
default workspace and may have multiple
workspaces.
workspace administration mode
A global parameter set in the Administer
Users editor but which is available only
for user IDs with administrator authority.
When enabled for a user ID,
customization of workspaces, links, and
terminal-session scripts automatically
becomes available to all users connected
to the same Tivoli Enterprise Portal
Server.
