7-2 TS3400 Tape Library Maintenance Information
The Web User Interface can display and download a log history summary of events,
warnings, and errors that have occurred by selecting Service Library Operator
Interventions. See an example in Figure 7-14 on page 7-13. The summary can be
filtered to display the operator intervention log for a specific hardware component
and specific event levels. The log is stored in memory on the Library Control Blade.
When the memory buffer is full, new events overwrite the oldest events. The log is
not cleared from memory when power is turned OFF. Selecting a specific entry
displays additional information in the Detail panel, comprising:
Index number of the event
Date the event occurred
Time the event occurred
Unit in the library where the event occurred
Event level
Description of the event
The Web User Interface can also display and download a log history summary of
errors that have occurred by selecting Service Library View Library Logs. See an
example on Figure 7-15 on page 7-14. The error log is displayed with sense data
information. The summary can be filtered to display errors with specific sense data
code types. Selecting a specific entry displays additional information in the Detail
panel, comprising:
Index number of the error
Date and time the error occurred
•Error code
Description of the error
Observe the LEDs on all library components to determine exactly which part is
failing. See “Interpreting LEDs” on page 7-17 for more information. See “Start
