Chapter 7. Service Procedures 7-13
Operator Interventions
Figure 7-14. Operator Interventions screen
Use Service Library → Operator Interventions to display and download a log
history summary of events, warnings, and errors that have occurred.
The summary can be filtered to display the operator intervention log for a specific
hardware component and specific event levels. The log is stored in memory on the
Library Control Blade. When the memory buffer is full, new events overwrite the
oldest events. The log is not cleared from memory when power is turned OFF.
To download operator interventions:
1. Expand Service Library, if necessary, and click on Operator Interventions in the
left navigation pane of the Web User Interface.
2. Select the Unit Type options and Event Level filter options to reduce the number
of events displayed as needed.
3. Click Refresh to display the filtered list.
4. Click on an event in the Index List to display the data for that event in the Detail
pane.
5. Click Download to download the logs and save to a file on your host computer.
Library Logs
The error information contained in the library logs is listed using two general
formats:
• Library/Drive errors — These log entries are 2-byte errors in [xxxx] format, and are
listed in “Library Error Codes” on page 1-5 and “Drive Error Codes” on page 1-15.
Example: 003 06/01/2007 15:32:36 Code=[00D7] Redundant power supply #2 error
detected.
