Destination Type – Unicast - sends traffic to
a single destination
address and network
device.
– Multicast - sends traffic
with a multicast address
to a group of network
devices.
– Broadcast - sends traffic
to all network devices
on the link.
NOTE: If you select Uni-
cast, you can optionally use
the Discover soft key to dis-
cover other instruments on
the network, and then select
the destination address for
the device you want to
transmit traffic to. For
details, see “Using J-Con-
nect to discover another
JDSU test set” on page 21.
Destination MAC
(appears only if you speci-
fied a Unicast or Multicast
address type)
Type the address for Uni-
cast or Multicast destina-
tions.
– If you specified Unicast
as the address type, the
left most byte in the
address defaults to 00.
– If you specified Multi-
cast as the address
type, the left most byte
in the address defaults
to 01.
