4 If you need to specify other settings for the test, use the
left and right arrow keys to go to the appropriate configu-
ration menu; otherwise, press the Home key to return to
the Summary Results screen.
The layer 4 header settings are specified for transmitted
traffic.
Configuring the
traffic load
Before transmitting TCP or UDP traffic, you can specify the
type of traffic load the unit will transmit (Constant, Bursty,
Ramp, or Flood) in 0.001% increments, beginning at 0.002%.
For details on configuring a traffic load, see
“Configuring the
traffic load” on page 56.
TCP Window Size Enter a window size in bytes.
The window size is used in
combination with the average
round trip delay measurement
for your test to estimate the
TCP throughput.

the pattern in a hexadecimal
format up to 64 bytes long.
