12.6.INSPECTIONANDMAINTENANCEINTERVALS
Allaerialplatformsmustbeinspected,testedandservicedaccordingtothefol‐
lowinginstructions.Seetheuserandoperationmanualforthecompletelistofre‐
commended ins pection intervals and the correct checking and servicing
procedures.
12.6.1.A‐Dailyinspectionsbeforestarting
Allthecomponentsthathaveadirectinf
luenceonthesafeoperationoftheaerial
platformandwhoseconditionsmaychangefromdaytodaymustbevisuallyin‐
spectedbytheoperatoronadailybasis.
Thefollowingmustberegularlyinspectedandmustalsobecheckeddu ringope‐
rationandbetweenregularinspectionintervals:
1 Levelofallflu
ids,suchasfuel,engineoil,coolantandbatteryfluid.
2 Hydraulichosesforleaksorlooseconnections.
3 Allquickdisconnectionhosesforproperconnection.
4 Structural components for obvious damage, broken parts, and cracks in
welds.
5 Ladderorsteps fordamageanddebris(laddersmustbefirmlysecuredtothe
platform).
6 Operatingandem
ergencycontrolsforproperfunctioning.
7 Placardsandwarningsignsfor cleanliness,readabilityofcontrolsigns,rated
capacity,andoperatingmanual.
8 Platformassemblyfor looseandmissingparts,missingorlooselockpinsand
bolts.
9 Platformbaseforstructuraldamage,holesorcrackedwelds,dirt,grease,or
oilthatcancreateaha
zard.
10 Accesswaysforeaseofmovement.
11 Protectionsystemoperation.
12 Correctoperationofthesafetydevices.
13 Correctoperationofelevating,rotating,anddrivefunctions.
14 Brakes.
15 Stabilisers.
12.6.2.B‐Periodicalinspections
Theseinspections must be performed after200h of operation or everymonth,
whichevercomesfirst.Theintervalbetweeninspectionsmayvarydependingon
