The MEWPS is a self‐propelled machine able to easily move on any type of
ground,abletopassslopesand,consideringthesmalldimensions,toenternar‐
row openings. A condition for traversing is that the four outriggers are lifted
fromthegroundandthemachine isinthetransportors
tabilisationconfigura‐
tion.
Whencontrollingthemachine,beforetraversing,makesurethatthecontrolpo‐
sitionguaranteesanoptimalviewoftheentiremachineandEVERYobstaclethat
maybeinthetrajectorytobefollowedbythemachine.Ifaveryprecisecontrol
oftraversingmovementsisrequired,enginerotationcanbereducedbyact
ingon
thespeedselectorbuttonontheremotecontrolʺPushbuttons(p. 61)ʺ.Payatten‐
tiontothecompleteclearanceofthemachineespeciallyiftheoutriggersarenot
turnedintothetransportposition.
• Duringcontroloperations,rememberalwaystostayataminimumdistance
of1metrefromthema
chine.
•Itisadvisedtotraverseonflat surfacewiththeoutriggerscompletelylifted
andplaced in the transport positionin ordertoreduceoverallclearanceof the
machine.
Forthetranslationthecontrolpositiononthegroundisforeseen.
Itisprohibitedtoclimbontooroffofthebasketifitisno
tcomple‐
telylowered.
Themachineisnottype‐approvedforroadcirculation. Theworkandauto‐
nomousshiftingareasmustbeappropriatelydelimitedandwithsignsaccor‐
dingtothelawsinforceregardingthissubject.Themachinemustbeloaded
ontotype‐approvedmachinesforanymovem
entonpublicroads.
