9.3. CONTROLPOSITION
9.3.1. Controlpositioninthebasket
Theaerialworkplatformhasbeendesignedtobecontrolledbytheoperatorin
thebasketusingaremotecontrol,whereallofthemachinefunctionalcontrolsare
gathered,positionedintherelevantsupportinsidethebasket.Apedal(optional)
isalsopresentinthebasketinordertoallowthemoveme
ntoftheaerialpart.
From this controlpositionit is possible to control the extendible structure and
machinestabilisation.Whenthemachineismanoeuvredfromthecontrolposi‐
tioninthebasket,theremotecontrolmustbepositionedintheappropriateseat,
andthe footsw
itchmustbeactivated(thefootswitchmustbereleaseandactiva‐
tedagainifnomovementsaremadeformorethan7second).Theremotecontrol
isconnectedtothemachineusingaflexiblecablethatallows
toshiftitifthebasketistoberemovedorthegroundcontr
olunitistobeused.
Stabilisationofthemachinemustbepreferablycontrolledfromthebasketdri‐
veposition.Machinetraversingmustbecarriedoutfromthecontrolposition
ontheground.

Thereisasecondcontrolpositionavailableforthet r ackedpartofthemachine.
Thisisnotinafi
xedpositionbutrathercanbelocatedonthegroundwithinara‐
diusof2.5mfromthebasketattachment.Tocontrolthemachinefromthisposi‐
