12.8.1.Rubbertrackstensioncheck
Stopthemachineonaflatandsolidground. Raisethemachineoffthegroundsa‐
felyand,ifneeded,supportitbyapplyingstableblocksorjackstandsunderthe
undercarriage frame. In correspondence with the undercarriage central roller,
measuredistanceʺAʺofthebottomoftherollertothehardinternalpartofthe
rubberbelt.Tracktensi
onisnormalifmeasureʺAʺisbetween10and15mm.If
thetensionisnotwithintheabovemeasure,ortootight,pleasefollowtheproce‐
dureillustratedinthefollowingparagraph.
Asanalternativetotheabove‐mentionedprocedure,youcanfol
lowtheprocedu‐
rebelow.Inthiscase,thecheckislessaccurateandprecise.However,effective
forevaluatingiftherubbertrackistooslack.
Stopthemachineonaflatandsolidground.In correspondenceoftheupperskid
ofthecarriage,measuredistanceaofthebottomofthesk
idtothehardinternal
partoftherubberbelt,liftingthebeltmanually.Thetracktensionisnormalifme‐
asureʺAʺisbetween10and15mm.Ifthetensionisnotwithintheabovemeasu‐
re, or too tight, please follow the pr
ocedure illustrated in the following
paragraph.
