PROCEDURE:
Intheeventofelectrolytereleasefromthecells,proceedasfollows:
• Evacuatethepeopleexpose
dtofumesfromthearea.
•Airtheenvironmentunt ilthecompleteremovalof thecellanduntilthecha‐
racteristicpungentodourhasdisappeared.
•Ifthecellistoohot,allowittocooltoambienttemperaturebeforehandlingit.
•Wearsafetyequipment:coat,gloves,maskandfilters,andmoveth
ecelltoa
well‐ventilatedarea.
•Placeeverycellinasealableplasticbagandremovetheexcessair,thenseal
thebag.
•Placeacupofvermiculiteinasecondbag,placethefirstbaginthesecondand
sealit.
•Placeeverythinginathirdbagwithsomesodaandsealthebag.
•A
bsorbandcollecttheleak ed electrolytewithabsorbentmaterialorsoda.
•Placetheabsorbentmaterialinabagandsealit.
•Cleantheareawithplentyofwater.
•Disposeofthehazardousmaterialinaccordancewiththelocallegislati onin
