Chassis Lifting Guidelines for an ACX5000 Router
The weight of a 1 U fully loaded ACX5048 chassis is approximately 21.8 lb (9.9 kg); the
2 U ACX5096 SKU is approximately 32.5 lbs (14.74 kg). Observe the following guidelines
for lifting and moving an ACX5000 router:
CAUTION: If you are installing the ACX5000 router above 60 in. (152.4 cm)
from the floor, either remove the power supplies, fan modules, and any
expansion modules before attempting to install the router, or ask someone
to assist you during the installation.
•
Before installing an ACX5000 router, read the guidelines in “Site Preparation Checklist
for an ACX5000 Router” on page 45 to verify that the intended site meets the specified
power, environmental, and clearance requirements.

Before lifting or moving the ACX5000 router, disconnect all external cables.
•
As when lifting any heavy object, lift most of the weight with your legs rather than your
back. Keep your knees bent and your back relatively straight and avoid twisting your
body as you lift. Balance the load evenly and be sure that your footing is solid.
