Burst Mode
You can configure the function generator to output a waveform with a specified
number of cycles, called a burst. The function generator can produce a burst
using sine, square, or ramp waveforms (pulse, noise, dc, and arbitrary waveforms
are not allowed).
For more information on the fundamentals of the burst mode, refer to Chapter 7,
"Tutorial".
To Select Burst
The function generator will not allow burst to be enabled at the same time that
sweep or any modulation mode is enabled. When you enable burst, the sweep
or modulation mode is turned off.
Front-Panel Operation: You must enable burst before setting up any of the
other burst parameters. Press to output a burst using the present
settings for frequency, output amplitude, and offset voltage.
Remote Interface Operation: To avoid multiple waveform changes, enable the
burst mode after you have set up the other parameters.
