STARTING THE TRACTOR [HST
TYPE]
1. Adjust the operator's position.
Adjust the operator's seat.
(See Operator's seat on page 42)
(1) Travel adjust lever (A) Pull
Adjust the seat belt.
(See Seat belt on page 42)
(1) Seat belt
Adjust the steering wheel [CAB type only].
(See Steering wheel tilt lever [CAB type only] on
page 42)
CAUTION
To avoid personal injury:
Do not adjust the steering wheel while
the tractor is in motion.
Make sure that the steering wheel is
locked after adjusting.
(1) Steering wheel tilt lever
(A) Press down
NOTE :
Adjust the operator's seat and the
suspension to make sure that the controls
are comfortably at hand for the operator,
making sure that the operator maintains a
good posture and minimizes risks from
whole body vibration.
2. Start the engine.

page 60)
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or death:

Read and understand the safety labels
located on the tractor.
To avoid the danger of exhaust-fume-
poisoning, do not operate the engine in a
closed building without proper ventilation.
Never start the engine while standing on
ground. Start the engine only from the
operator's seat.
Always set all shift levers to the “NEUTRAL”
positions and to place the PTO-clutch-
control-switch in the “OFF” position before
starting the engine.
