Safety information Flowmaster User’s and Service Manual | LBL-000990 [B] 81
Investigation procedures as described in the Flowmaster
manual do not pretend to be complete. How an
investigation is performed and how the results are
interpreted, the actual diagnosing, remains under all
circumstances the responsibility of the clinician/physician
performing the investigation. The description of
investigation proceedings is only included to serve as an
example to discuss the use of the various markers and the
various transducers to reduce risks involving wrong
treatment of a patient.
Safety can be violated if, for example, the apparatus:
• shows visible damage.
• fails to perform the intended measurement
• has been subjected to prolonged storage under
unfavourable conditions.
• has been subjected to severe stresses in transit.
• has been handled by unqualified personnel.
Never turn off the computer when the Laborie Flowmaster
software program is still active. You may lose data.
The Flowmaster will record flow only when there is a
Bluetooth connection between computer and flowsensor.
Automatic safeguards built into the software should be
seen as an aid. They are not substitutes for careful
personal monitoring and an alert investigator.
Do not carry or use a mobile telephone during the
measurement to reduce risks involving electro magnetic
disturbances.
When pouring water with high speed in the urine container
on the flowsensor, for example with a cup, artefact
detection does not work so well as during an actual
investigation (Flowmaster demonstrations only.)
After updating or upgrading the Laborie Flowmaster
software, calculated parameters can be different
