With
both
hands,
grasp
the
adjustment
straps
at
the
lower
cor-
ners
of
the visor
and
pull
outward
sharply
to
actuate the
starter
candle
.
Within
1-5-seconds,
a
rushing
noise
of
oxygen
entering
the
hood
will
be
heard
and
inflation
with be
evident
.
WARNING

With
the
straps
still
in
hand
and
head
bent forward,
pull
back-
ward
to
secure the
oronasal
mask
cone high
on
the
nose
for
a
tight
seal
.

.
If
wearing
glasses,
you
may
adjust
their
position to
rest
on
tip
of
the
oronasal
mask
cone
by
moving
the
sides
of the
frame
through
the
hood
fabric
.
Do
not
attempt
to
adjust
through
the
neckseal
as this
will
result
in
infiltration
of
the
surrounding
atmosphere
into
the
interior
of
the
hood
:

When
the
neckseal-
is
positioned
at
the
neck
and
the
oxygen-
generating
canister
is
resting
on
the
nape
of
the
neck,
-remove
the
hands,
checking
to
see
that clothing
is
not
trapped
in
the
seal
and
hair
does
not
protrude
between
the
seal
and
the
neck
.
Pull
the
protective
neck
shield
down
to
cover
the
collar
and
upper
shoulder
area
.

hair

highly

Hair
that

trudes
through
the
neckseal
could
ignite
if
brought
into
direct
contact
with
flame
.

tag
and
shake
