WALL MOUNT REMOTE SAMPLING PROBE (OPTION)
If the Wall Mount Remote Sampling Probe option is ordered, The Probe will
be mounted on a wall or panel and the sample extracted down a heated line to
the probe. The MAC155 Remote Sampling Probe is equipped with a stainless
steel compression tee tube fitting. The heated sample line is to be connected to
one branch of the tee. The remaining tee branch can either be capped off, or in
the case of long sampling line runs, an external sampling pump can be
connected to insure faster response time. The sample line and tee fitting must
remain above 190 deg F at all times to prevent moisture from condensing out of
the sample. See page 95 for an outline drawing of the MAC155 Wall Mount
Remote Sampling Probe. See page 97 for the mounting hole layout for mounting
the probe. The probe should be mounted to the wall or panel using 4) ¼” fillister
head screws.
PROBE WIRING
The MAC155 is powered by a nominal 120 VAC, 50/60 HZ @3A max. power
source. The 240V option allows operation from a 240V 50/60Hz @1.5A supply.
LRefer to the wiring diagram for probe wiring at the end of this manual for
detailed information
Two connectors are provided on the outside of the MAC155 Probe, refer to
Figure 6. The connector with three (3) pins is the AC power input. The other
connector with 6 pins provides the DC power and RS485 serial communication
lines. Two 6 foot/1.8 meter long cables are shipped with the MAC155 Probe for
termination to these connectors. These cables can be shortened as required for
the installation. Allow enough slack so that the MAC155 Probe can be withdrawn
from the port with the connectors mated. This will make servicing the unit easier.
These cables shall not be extended by splicing or other means. Each cable
should be terminated in a junction box. The AC power and RS485/DC power
