LOCAL ALARM CONTACTS
A solid state relay will to provide a contact closure during an alarm event.
Reliability is maintained with the use of a solid state relay since there are no
moving parts or contacts to pit which guarantee a reliable circuit path in the
event of an alarm condition. Keeping in mind the solid state nature of this alarm
the polarity of the controlled circuit must match the output of the solid state relay
contacts.
RS485 COMMUNICATIONS
The RS-485 port is provided on the rear of the controller to implement
communications to external devices. The external devices must be capable
of Modbus RTU communication, and the Modbus Communication option
must be purchased. The RS485 port can also communicate with the optional
MAC155 PLC Interface. Implementation of this option will allow remote I/O
signals for a PLC. Further information about the MAC155 PLC interface can
be found in the controller options section. The Modbus Communications
option is not necessary for the PLC interface option to work.
