STARTING THE ENGINE
The scooter is equipped with an ignition disabling system controlled by the side stand and by the emergency stop
switch.
The engine cannot be started if the side stand is down or if the emergency stop switch is set to OFF.
If the engine is already running it will stop when the side stand is opened or when the emergency stop switch is set to
OFF.
The OFF position of the emergency stop switch is signalled by a warning light
on the digital instrument panel.
To start the engine, before pressing the ignition button, activate the start enable permissive switch by pulling the front
or rear brake lever and keeping it pulled.
The fuel system is designed to manage engine starting on the basis of engine conditions (cold/warm) and ambient
temperature.
• Keep the throttle grip on the idling position.
• Insert the key and turn it ON ( ).
• Make sure switch A is in engine starting position
and that the side stand is up.
• Pull at least one of the brake levers and then press the
electric starter button (B).
